Your Esther Part in These Times

LLLV18 9-24-2018  Your Esther Part in These Times
According to the Bible, Esther was a Jewish queen of the Persian king Ahasuerus. Ahasuerus is traditionally identified with Xerxes I during the time of the Achaemenid Empire.

Xerxes is the famous Persian King who led anywhere from one hundred thousand to two and one half million men in the most massive armada of ancient times against Greece. During this invasion Leonidas, a General of Sparta eventually withstood Xerxes at the narrow pass of Thermopylae with only 300 Spartan Soldiers for three days enabling the Grecian forces to rally and defeat Xerxes.

In the mix of these events, God raised Esther to prominence in World history. Her preeminent accomplishment was being used to save the Jews from Genocide by Xerxes, called Ahasuerus in the Book of Esther.

Here is one of the most precious partial verses in the Bible concerning standing for the right:

“Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

The Greek King Leonidas was at Thermopylae for such a time and preserved the Grecian culture.

A woman who was an orphan as a child became “the one” who could stand between the sparing or annihilation of the Jews.

We can understand the importance of standing up for the right, even though it may involve risk, even to risking our earthly life.

Leonidas and his 300 Spartans gave their life knowing they could not win. They were Gentiles in the Gentile Kingdom, which God used to provide a language for worldwide use over 300 years later, Koine Greek, the original language of the New Testament. The result of Leonidas was the stopping of Culturicide, thus setting the stage for Koine Greek, the universal language of the New Testament over 300 years later.

The same raging Gentile King, Xerxes, was calmed down by a Jewish girl who stood up to him and prevented Genocide of the Jews the people of Jesus Christ.

You may be more important than you ever thought possible.
