A Short Time With Larry 11-11-2020 Veterans

Today sensible people pay homage to our Military Veterans, men, and women who served to maintain our liberty. We also give enormous respect to the gallant citizens who currently serve the United States of America.

My family was among “Those People” who lived in the most outcast area of our town. Yet, one of the men living there earned a Purple Heart while serving WWII. We never knew about it until reading his obit in the paper. We were taught to respect all the military people because they risked death, crippling wounds, and the loss of sanity.

The annual Veterans Day Parade was the largest gathering of the year in our county. I know from experience the penalty of failing to stand as the veterans passed. Some with sleeves or trouser legs pinned where an arm or leg once was.

Berean Baptist says Thank you! Make today count!
