LLLV19 5-23-2019 Truly You Never Walk Alone
Dealing with the feeling of loneliness is a problem most people have faced since the beginning of history. It is common to all the tribes of the earth. It may seem strange, but despite all the modern methods of communicating with each other, people feel as though they are “in it alone” whatever the “alone” appearance.
Coping with the alone of life is a bustling and growing industry, from pills, to therapy, to marriage or divorce to marry another who will help me not to feel so alone.
The Christian Pastor and writer will attempt to help fill the void and share biblical truth with us such as this:
“You are never left alone when you are alone with God.” Woodrow Kroll.
Dr. Kroll’s line is on target, but reality has a tough time overcoming feelings! To be alone with God does not necessarily mean that God is not there, because according to His Word, He is with us always. We must fight the emotion of feeling alone and trust that He is with us at all times. When we believe, we become aware of Him.
According to theologians and the Bible, God is Omnipresent, always meaning everywhere. This is hard to grasp, but then so is God! Note Paul:
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (NKJV).
The full translation would take forever as it reads, No Never ad infinitum. A super strong affirmation the presence of God with us at all times.
50 years ago a lady in the church I pastored at the time shared this with the congregation during an evening testimony time:
Last night during the storm, my four-year-old, kept calling for me to come into his bedroom as he was afraid. I said to him, “Jesus is with you!” It was quiet for minute or two, and he then said,
“Mommy, I know Jesus is with me, but I need somebody with skin on them!”
Often during feelings of being alone, we do need “someone with skin on them.” You may be that person for someone.
