The placing of Jesus, God With Us, in a manger is often portrayed as among the saddest scenes in the Bible. I saw it that way for years, and then God opened my eyes.
As The Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world, a feeding trough is appropriate for The Lamb.
Christ taught that He is The Bread of Life. As we experience Him in our inner heart, we are nourished by the presence of Him and made strong spiritually.
Jesus Christ is the giver and sustainer of life. He assured us that without Him, we could do nothing.
Busy people attempt to live without time for Christ, thinking that we must fend for ourselves throughout life. This is not a good pattern for life, as He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.
