“For those who believe, no explanation is necessary; for those who do not believe, no explanation is possible.” Such is the stuff of miracles.
While talking about miracles, my longtime friend, Pastor Greg Wilson, shared what he told his congregation not long ago:
“If Christ walked in here today and raised someone from the dead, it would not be as great a miracle as if we began to love one another as He commanded!”
The more I thought about this the more I realized the truth of it. You recall this verse from John 15:12, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”
When we brag about our “authenticity” as Bible believers, most of us fail this ultimate test. The Apostle Paul put such a high premium on this Christ love, that it ranks higher than the Crown of Martyrs:
1 Corinthians 13:3, “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity (Agape), it profiteth me nothing.”
Perhaps if our love toward people was more Christ centered we would not need “Miracles?”
