While reading a book from years ago I came across a famous poem by Robert Frost. See what you think:
“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken
Choosing what is less than popular may be very costly, but it may be the key to stellar achievement.
Choosing to closely follow Christ has always meant that you are choosing the Road Less Traveled.
The terms of Christ teach that His path may mean deprivation of some needs, loss of friends, self-denial, imprisonment, perhaps even crucifixion!
Jesus put the cards on the table in Luke 9:23:
“If any man (person) will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Give the verse serious thought!
