Often someone will ask me, “Larry why the ‘Make Today Count?’”
The answer is one that puts life into proper perspective in light of the nature of living on planet earth. Solomon warns today is the day we have, but tomorrow?
Pro 27:1
“Do not boast about tomorrow,
For you do not know what a day may bring forth.”
James covers the same ground:
James 4:14 “whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
James puts the importance of today in proper perspective as compared to eternity, life is but a vapor that doesn’t last long, therefore, we must use this vaporish wonder we call life for what matters.
The principle is, “Do not spend time frivolously, but invest your day wisely.
Make Today Count.
