Patience Strong on Your Future

A Short Time With Larry 11-19-2020 Future Strong

One of my favorite poems or recitations is this one by Patience Strong.

“The best is never over. The best is never gone
There’s always something lovely to keep you struggling on,
For each burden you bear
there’s a secret consolation hidden somewhere,
Ends are really beginnings as one day you will see
The best is never over; the best is yet to be.”

We are living through times that try men’s souls. We who know Jesus are comforted by looking beyond the sunset toward the dawning of the great day that is coming. All through scripture, we find the people looking ahead to a golden day when the lamb will lay down with the lion, a day when war will no longer be studied, a time when God will wipe our tears away.

Look for the Consolation of Christ in your struggle.
