While making preparation for a serious event, a funeral for a man’s departed spouse, he said to me, Dr. the wife and I are moderate Christians. He seemed to be proud of the intensity of his Christian walk.
I offered to speak with him about this powerful faith, according to his understanding.
I sent this from C.S. Lewis:
“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
The world at large and some forms of faith have promoted the false idea that moderate faith is very good, but by all means, keep it in the four walls of your group.
Here’s Jesus on moderate faith:
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot.” Rev 3:15
So, are you cold, hot, or tepid?
