Note From the Infamous to the Famous

04-16-13 Note From the Infamous to the Famous.

My first car was a 1941 Ford Coupe. I first saw it in the yard of a house I went by on my way to work on an egg farm. I wasn’t old enough to own a car, or have a driver’s license, but I pursued my dream. I put $5.00 down and paid it off in 5 weeks. Making .40 cents per hour involves a lot of time to pay things off. My first Ford, brush painted, Maroon, used, cost $45 dollars.

Over the years I have owned many cars, even a few Corvettes, but most of my cars have been Fords. I found that the rap Fix Or Repair Daily is not true, but Fords have been a Favorite Over The Road for me.

Imagine how my interest perked the other day when I saw this letter to Henry Ford:

"I have drove fords exclusively when I could get away with one. It has got every other car skinned, and even if my business hasn't been strictly legal it don't hurt anything to tell you what a fine car you got in the V-8" Clyde Barrow.

Ford is reliable transportation, but you must know that even a Ford won’t take you to heaven. Only Jesus can and will do that. Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

I'm sticking with my plan to get close to The One good enough, and go to Heaven on the updraft.

Well, I don't know what to say. So, I shall say nothing. I guess. Being a Chevy man myself.

I rode in a Chevy Vega that I thought would take me to Heaven. Praise the Lord we returned safely to the dealership.
