A Short Time With Larry 5-11-2020 Goethe

Years ago a popular mantra from Motivation writers/speakers was a real challenge going like this:

What would you attempt if you knew you couldn’t  fail?

They posited all sorts of reasons why you could not fail if you bought their program. Having bought several, I am the one in 10 million who discovered several ways to fail! I am very creative.

Even the best winners do not win every outing.

“Courage is the commitment to begin without any guarantee of success.”  Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Three words in Mr.Goethe’s line are necessary to gain even a modicum of success; though they are not a guarantee.

First comes courage, the courage to overcome the fear of failure.

Commitment to the goal.

Begin! Finishes require a beginning!!

Paul wrote: “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil 3:14.

So should we!
Today’s thought courtesy of Berean Baptist in Terre Haute. Let’s make today count!
