On occasion you may find some little idea on Facebook that forces you not only to laugh but to also think. Here’s the ponder:
“I was wondering what our parents did back in the day before all the wonderful electronic gadgets we have today. Get me right, I love our modern conveniences, but I was just wondering how on earth our parents and grandparents dealt with life without all our wonders.
I asked my 26 brothers and sisters about it and each stated that they didn’t know either!” Anonymous Internet Muse.
If you must write and ask “Well, what did our fore parents do with their leisure time?” I will conclude you are spending way too much time on the internet.
Bible students will observe that the closer we are in studies to Eden, the higher the birth rate and longevity. One noted “Scripture observer” observed, “It may be that that the days seemed and longer, with nothing but a massive garden to tend.
The closer we look at Eden and the immediate aftermath of The Fall, the harder we are slapped with the truth that departing from the Lord’s prescribed “method” of living” which does strongly command to “fill up the earth with people,” leads to our current, rebellious troubles. The command was given prior to the Fall. There is no evidence of any children born prior to the fall. The first-born human was Cain.
Think about it, 60 some million new inhabitants of our “garden” killed prior to birth, and that’s in the U.S. not counting the world-wide numbers. Mao Tse Dong, among others propagated the error limiting families to less than two Children.
In addition to the terror enhancing methods of pre-birth eradication of life for mostly convenience reasons, we pride ourselves on following the ideas of primitive Asiatic peoples and limit the number of children as well as just how many dogs and this will work better than following God’s plan.
If moderns really wonder, “What did our fore parents do,” we must ponder, “What on Earth are the moderns thinking?” It may be that one purpose of moderns is to keep people from what according the Divine plan comes naturally, bearing children.
