A Short Time With Larry 6-28-2021 Love Death

Years ago, Dr. Charles Allen wrote a book of 13 sermons. Each sermon used one verse from 1Cor 13. “Love never fails.”

Dr. Allen used “Never dies, but love can be killed.”

Long before I was called to Pastor, I observed many lovers kill the love in the other’s heart through non-loving attitudes and actions. As a Pastor, I noted brutal acts toward someone who loves you are carried out.

Charity is the English word used here for Agape, and while the Love Christ has for us can never fail or be killed, humans do not measure up to Christ in many ways.

While taking residence in the human heart, Agape and romantic love must be nurtured by expressing and demonstrating the best of both kinds.

In the human experience, this is possible through walking close with Jesus and His Word.

“Love never dies, but it can be killed.” Charles Allen

Make today count.
