John Ruskin on Patience

A Short Time With Larry 4-15-2020 Ruskin

“On the whole it is patience which makes the final difference between those who succeed or fail in all things. All the greatest people have it in an infinite degree, the patient weak ones always conquer the impatient strong.” John Ruskin

Most of us have heard or read the old truth, “Patience is a virtue.”

The truth is never old, out of date. The Old Truth means it’s been around and observed for a long time.

Today’s world lives with expectations that are not based on reality. The phrase “Fastest Food in Town.” Does not mean “The Best Food in Town.”

Serving Jesus Christ is the same. Patiently He watches over us, patiently observing our trials, our stumbles, and through His work in us, the Word, the Spirit and a little patience with ourselves.

As we patiently grow in grace and knowledge of Christ, we become effective servants of Jesus.
