LLLV18 8-9-2018 Jesus, Peter Drucker on Doing it Right
The late Peter Drucker, business motivator par excellence, helped millions of men and women reach beyond their potential via his writing. Here’s a gem that may help you in the business of your life.
“Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right thing.”
To be sure doing things right is essential in today’s fast-paced world. Have you asked yourself whether what you’re doing is the right thing to be doing to reach your stated goals?
Leadership in the life of Christians is simple: Follow the Bible, plus the guiding of the Holy Spirit both of which will lead to understanding the meaning of your life about being useful in the area the Lord has planned for you. Take a look at the life-encompassing commission from Jesus Christ, known far and wide as The Great Commission:
Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (NKJV).
Simply put, we follow the instruction of the One in charge. These instructions include going to all ethnic groups and demonstrating the reality of Jesus Christ. Leading them to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and encouraging them to stand up for Jesus by a public acknowledgment of belief, demonstrated via Baptism, a picture of His death, burial, and resurrection, and teaching them via our testimony, the scriptures, and our lifestyle.
Many, at home and around the world, go and talk about Jesus orally. But from the lifestyle that should speak even louder, there is silence. The walk betrays the talk.
When we learn to do the right things right, we then have a winning formula for doing the work of Christ. The same method works in all of life.
