A Short Time With Larry 10-7-2020 Morse
Here’s a statement dated 1799 that we should pay attention to in these times:
“To the kindly influence of Christianity, we owe that degree of civil freedom, and political and social happiness which mankind now enjoy.
In proportion as the genuine effects of Christianity are diminished in any nation, either through unbelief, or the corruption of its doctrines, or the neglect of its institutions; in the same proportion will the people of that nation recede from the blessings of genuine freedom.” Jedadiah Morse
Jedadiah was stating the obvious: Society will to a large degree be but the reflection of the state of the church as a whole.
If, Christians are as Jesus said, “the salt of the earth, losing the power of its purpose, it becomes worthless.”
So, how are you doing deep in your heart?
