A Short Time With Larry 10-19-2020 Casting Care
“What’s eating you causes more trouble than what you’re eating.” Anonymous.
The saying has been around as long as I can remember, and it’s true. A little worry may be useful, but only in tiny packages. Worry about what might happen is futile as no one knows for sure what’s about to happen.
Ira Stanphill said it well when he wrote:
“I don’t know about tomorrow; I just live from day to day.” The song is much longer but faithful to God’s Word.
Jesus taught the same thing about fretting and worrying, as well as “anxious care.” Planning is not worrying in most cases. Here’s the Word from Jesus:
Mat 6:34
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
It comes down to Jesus or Worry.
