A Short Time With Larry 11-25-2020 Priestly
Gordon McDonald had this to offer to preachers, more specifically to Priests:
“Be more of a priest and less of a preacher. A preacher is a one-way conversation, but a priest is a dialog. Be more like a priest to the people in your life.”
Here’s my take:
Rev 1:5-6 declares all believers to be Kings (royalty) and priests due to being washed in the Blood of Christ.
As royal priests, we have a responsibility to each other as Paul says:
Gal 6:2, “Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
This is foreshadowed in Exodus 39:6-21 in the Ephod, Shoulders, and the Breastplate. 12 Stones on each the priest is to carry the Burdens on his shoulders and care for the people from his heart.
God needs more caring royal priests. As a Christian, you are one of the required.
