A Short Time With Larry 11-23-2020 Goethe
The German writer Wolfgang Goethe Concerning hope in the aged, said:
“The activity to which we're drawn, even if not involving the body, is an argument for another life after this one. Nature is obliged to provide an arena for this restless and undefeated spirit.”
Gen 12:4, “So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was 75 years old when he departed from Haran.”
Abraham, at 75, trusted God and followed God’s leading, a leading which involved what we would call ‘leaving his comfort zone.’
Also, at the age of eighty-five, Abraham fathered a son. I shared this with some pilots, one of whom remarked, “I’ll bet he couldn’t pass the Faa 3rd Class medical!”
So much for ageism in our Heav’n Rescued Land!
Trust God and leave your age to Him.
