A Short Time With Larry 3-27-2020 MacArthur
In his famous address to Congress after being fired by President Truman, Former General Douglas MacArthur said words that have reverberated ever since:
“In war, there is no alternative than to apply every available means to bring it to a swift end. War’s very object is victory, not prolonged indecision. In war, there is no substitute for victory.”
The purpose of the General’s statement is not to refight any wars of this earth, but offer help in your greatest war.
I speak of the war between the old nature and newly created one which we receive when Jesus Christ enters our life.
There is no way to negotiate between God’s plan for us and the destructive plans Satan would love to shackle us with.
Paul wrote about this his paean of praise in 1Cor 15:57,
“But thanks be unto to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Because Christ is risen we can choose Victory!
