Dark Times are For Learning God's Song

A Minute With Larry  6-30-2020 Whittier Night

That we are living through a “dark night” in the USA is undeniable. As Frightening as it is here’s some guidance from Psalm 119:55;

“I remember Your Name in the night, O Lord, and I keep your law.”

In times like these it’s important to remember God, and to preach to ourself who you are in Christ.

In the “Night” of Roman prisons Paul wrote magnificent epistles that have imbued Christians with the courage to endure, with consistency in fiery trials and sing at night when even the song birds are silent.

Here’s a Gem from John Greenleaf Whittier:

“And many a raptured minstrel among the Sons of Light, when asked, ‘Whence cometh thy song?’ Will say, ‘I learned it in the night.’”

In this season of night in our land recall this from Psalm 119:105,

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
