A Short Time With Larry 4-3-2020 Hope
While Browsing Colsons’ Kingdoms in Conflict I discovered a line I had missed in the previous reading.
Most people that listen to or read my articles know that I am a fan of the Heroic Sir Winston Churchill.
Remove Churchill from history and probability is that most of Western Civilization (Christendom) would be speaking German and saluting Hitler.
The part I had missed was shocking at first reading. It concerns Churchill’s death bed and his last words.
Here are the giants' last words:
“There is no hope, there is no hope.”
Not words you would expect from the British Lion.
At 91 years of age, the negative words from Sir Winston can be expected as “Winnie” saw what seemed to be an apocalypse on the near horizon.
When the best of us focus on the World scene we tend to sink in our spirit. We must turn our eyes toward Jesus.
Today’s thought courtesy of Berean Baptist in Terre Haute. I’m Pastor Lilly. Make today Count.
