Charlie Brown Dreading One Day at a Time
Charles Shulz had Charlie Brown scratching his head and saying,
“I only dread one day at a time!”
Larry Lilly here, encouraging the wise use of today!
Many humans waste time, “dreading what tomorrow may hold.” Don’t be one of them.
In 1974 Mariann Wilkin and Kris Kristofferson wrote One Day at a Time. Here’s a stanza:
Yesterday's gone, sweet Jesus
And tomorrow may never be mine.
Lord help me today, show me the way
One day at a time.
You cannot live two days at the same time!
Jesus warned us to use today wisely in this verse:
Matthew 6:34 “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Day Tight Compartments: Live in one. Larry Lilly. Make today count.
