Back in the day, Mrs. Lilly and I took our family to see the Broadway play, Annie. We had the extreme privilege of seeing it on Broadway! Annie’s phrase “The Sun will come out tomorrow” is a beautiful thought, but if the sun comes out tomorrow it will be today.
The use of the future should be well planned, but today is the tomorrow you thought about yesterday.
The problem with putting things off until tomorrow is many-faceted: You have no guarantee you will be in decent health tomorrow. Your financial world may collapse overnight. A trusted associate may betray you before tomorrow. It is wise to make today count toward the goals the Lord has given to you.
An anonymous writer put it this way:
“If you pile up enough tomorrows, you end up with a lot of empty yesterdays!”
