The February 4, 2020 issue of Aviation Brief closed with this gem:
“It is well to remember that the entire population of the universe, with one trifling exception, is composed of others.” John Andrew Holmes.
As I gave the words of Mr. Holmes some thought it dawned on me just how true his statement is and how essential that grasp its importance when we deal with life and our part in this miracle.
Many people Christian and otherwise, live for themselves, as though they are wrapped in a bubble prepared for a “trifling exception!”
Within Christendom, there are numerous ideas of how to sort the true disciple from the want to be.
Most of Christ’s teaching on discipleship aims at being one to exert desire on others to become one.
Here’s the key from Jesus:
By this, all will know that you are my disciples if you have love one to another. John 13:35
