A friend said to me, “Larry, I am in trouble, but I am not worried; my friends will see me through this!” My friend is dreaming!
The truth be known when you are in real trouble, there is usually very little that friends can do, and so they do nothing. You will be happier and more useful if you learn to be a friend who can be counted on, rather than relying on others.
Throughout your life, you will be swamped with opportunities to be there for friends, some whom you never dreamed would need you for such a time as they are facing.
Learning to be a friend is a biblical principle.
Do NOT waste precious moments of life wishing you had better friends. Be a better friend!
Solomon tells us;
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”
Need to call a troubled friend? Today?
I’m Larry Lilly. You make today count.
