A Short Time With Larry 4-20-2020 Paton
Many of us “Old Timers” are troubled by what we see within our Christian Groups. Just the other day I received an email from a much younger person, informing me they were interested in serving Jesus on some mission field.
The list of requirements filled three sheets of paper. I would imagine there will no takers, at least I hope not!
Old School, and God’s Word teaches, when God calls we answer. God then fills in the blanks, we accept and get started.
When John G Paton, the Scottish missionary answered the call to the Cannibals of New Hebrides, now called Vanuatu, in the South Pacific; he trusted God and won many to Christ. He knew in his heart the people were ready for the gospel.
Here’s Brother Paton’s statement:
“Those and only those can expect to be taught of God, who are ready and willing to do as they are taught.” John G. Paton
