An Anchor That Holds. Corrie ten Boom

A Short Time With Larry 9-14-2020 Corrie

Here’s a great line from Corrie ten Boom:

“In order to feel the worth of the anchor we need to feel the stress of the storm.”

The article listed Corrie as, Writer, Watchmaker.

It’s hard for me to believe the one who inserted her great quote did not know of Corrie’s magnificent faith in Jesus Christ. Yet…

Here’s a verse by Daniel Towner:

“Troubles almost’ whelm the soul; Griefs like billows o’er me roll:
Tempters seek to lure astray; storms obscure the light of day: but in Christ I can behold, I’ve an anchor that shall hold.”

Through her arrest by the Gestapo. In Hitler’s Death Camps, Corrie’s anchor, Jesus Christ held firm.

In our current upheaval we must trust that Christ, our anchor, holds and will hold. He said He  us in His hand and nothing shall shake us out His hand.
