5-30-13 A Person Fully Alive
I have enjoyed writing the last few articles on the full life, the idea of living out loud, understanding that doing this does not mean the party life, but the true concept of living for the Lord Jesus and enjoying it along the path.
A song has it, “Singing I go along life’s road, praising the Lord, praising the Lord, singing I go along life’s road, for Jesus has lifted my load.” Grasping the truth of redemption brings with this understanding of true freedom, of being free from the past Adamic death life and growing into the person God has planned for His children as we live out eternal life.
Have you ever stopped to think, “I am now living eternal life in the spirit?” Someday my location and circumstances will change, when I walk through heavens portal having shed this body of flesh, or experienced the change spoken of by Paul in 1Corinthians 15, no longer encumbered by a body bruised and battered by the toils of earthly life.
I often wonder why so many people walk around as though they are already partially embalmed, just waiting for the final blow. D.L. Moody said, “Someday you will read that I have died, but that will not be true. I will more alive than ever!
Chuck Swindoll stated it thusly, “The glory of God is a person fully alive, and the life of a person consists in beholding God.” I stand amazed.
