"The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of the Conservatives is to prevent the mistakes from being corrected."
Seems to me that the best hope we have in this world will ultimately come from another world, a divine world. I am not the first or the last to think such.
I admit to enjoy watching and listening to the rants of men and women who seem to be on the ball about what their party will do, if the other party would just cooperate. Over the course of my soon 74 year trip on this orb we call our world, I have noticed that the earlier quote is true, very little has been reversed over the years, with the exception of ever more destructive laws and “rules” being implemented.
Current laws and rules on the Supreme Court table seem to portend the end of civilization or on the other hand, the golden beginning of a new era of enlightenment. Certainly some activities on the table were practices of earlier now defunct societies, such as Greece and Rome.
One of the marks of a soon to be defunct group is that the unthinkable becomes the norm. The list of just that, the unthinkable, has in the last 75 years become the norm. Unless a spirit of true enlightenment shines from the Celestial City, the pace will increase and do so with mind bending speed.
Hardly a day passes but that I speak with someone who is totally bewildered with the modern pace, the scuttling of morals, the tolerance of the unspeakable and the wide open acceptance and promotions of the recently taboo as now the “in practice.”
A man decides he feels like a woman, and voila! tis done! A woman of Caucasian parentage decides she is African American, and wham, bam thank you Sam, tis likewise done. Go figure. I am thinking about declaring myself rich, and perhaps, wham, bam tis…Silly.

2 “For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,”
Paul must have been prescient!
